1- Are you looking to increase the size of the role that Happy Hogan had in the story for the next film(s) ?

2- I know you said that it would be hard to direct Avengers if it came out a year after Iron Man 2, but do you think that you may throw your hat in to be a producer ?

3- Do you have any villains in mind that you may want to bring to the screen in the next film(s) ? And if so, would you mind (or be allowed) to share a few with us ?

1- Yes. Who knows? Robert and I have even discussed a potential Freak storyline.

2- I was really bummed when I saw that there was only a year between the two whe Marvel announced the release dates. It would be impossible to direct both.

3- I’ve already mentioned War Machine and Mandarin. I have some ideas, but I really need to sit down with Downey and the Marvel guys before we say much more.

Was the War Machine toy that was released in Wal Mart stores designed after the War Machine rumor started from the image on the group?

I have no idea where that came from.

You know the original Demon in a Bottle arc, recently re-released in hardcover, had nothing to do with War Machine. Rhodes was just Tony’s pilot. Further alcoholism storylines dealt with War Machine.

Do you really think its possible to make an Avengers movie? With all the big name cast members and special effects that are going to be involved it sounds like its going to be 4 or 5 blockbusters in one movie. The money involved is going to be through the roof! I’ve been thinking about it for awhile and I’m wondering "How the hell are they gonna pull that off?" If it does happen, I would think it would be a ground breaking event in film history.

I don’t know if this was answered yet....

But are there any other comics you’d like to adapt into film projects?!

Tony Stark got a cameo in the Hulk movie. Will Bruce Banner or the Hulk get a cameo in Ironman 2? Is this true or a figment of someones imagination.

Regarding the Mandarin, have you read any of the more recent Iron Man comics?

They just finished bringing back the mandarin and in it he went by the alias Tem Borjin and was sort of like the head of a biological engineering company or something that had to do with creating Extremis.

Does this have any potential for a take on the character (ignoring the Extremis factor)?

i know you said that Demon in a Bottle is pretty much out now because of Hancock... So what do u think the chances are for something along the lines of Armor Wars?

p.s. I think a story with the Freak might be to much like a villian being someones father, which I believe was the original idea for Iron Man (this was WAAAAAAY before you were attached to the film). but who knows... im not the one making movies...

I never said Demon In a Bottle was out. I just want to make sure that we don’t make a movie too similar to Hancock. I want to wait and see what they do. Alcoholism will definitely inform the character as time goes on.

Hello,

1. Having Stark reveal his identity in the movie was a gutsy move. Was that a tough decision and if so, did you kinda fear writing yourself into a hole with it, or was it more to buck the whole ’secret identity’ thing, and remove the burden of that from the story so you could get to more original and/or interesting issues?

2. This kinda a trivial question, but the Segway that Bridge’s hands off to you going to the arc reactor, is that the same one you ride around the set in some of the making of videos? I just had a chuckle thinking, that the character is giving you back the one your usually riding around if that’s so.

P.S. Amazing job on the movie. Please just keep doing things the way your doing them, and I can’t wait until it’s official that the sequel is under way!

Hey Jon, I really dug Iron Man and I’m glad to hear that your not interested in just jamming out sequels on a timetable. Makes me hopeful for the continued quality of the franchise.

I guess the thing I’m wondering is, with all the Marvel resources and artists at your disposal for pre-production, is there any way in hell that I could get a crack at doing some storyboards for you?

1. To be honest, it was Kevin’s idea. I was against it at first, but I am very happy I gave in. I think it opens up a whole different approach to a well explored genre. We are no longer limited by the thin at best secret identity that would’ve only dumbed down the sequels. The "bodyguard."

2. Yes
