Hi, this is a challenge to anyone that thinks they can correct my understanding of reality. Here are the following propositions that I will support... as you will see there are no axioms... it is pure reasoning. Have fun. :P

PROP I; I exist.

To doubt that I presently exist is absurd as my existence is a requisite of my ability to doubt, therefore I presently necessarily exist.

PROP II; Reality exists.

My person has not always existed, therefore I am not the reason for the genesis of my own existence. I can die, therefore I am not the reason for the sustaining of my own existence. Therefore I am contained in that which is comprised of the generating and sustaining reasons of my existence. Therefore reality exists.

PROP III; The essense of reality is existence.

Reality is comprised of the reasons of that which exists, therefore the essense of reality necessarily is existence.

Corollary; It follows that the constituents of reality are necessarily eternal.

Corollary; It follows that I am necessarily made of that which cannot be created or destroyed.

PROP IV; Energy is a constituent of reality.

Everything that comprises my existence is made of energy. Therefore energy by necessity cannot be created or destroyed. Therefore energy necessarily is a constituent of reality.

Corollary; It follows that energy is necessarily everywhere present in reality e.g. omnipresent.

Corollary; It follows that reality necessarily contains all transformations of energy e.g. omnipotent.

PROP V; The essense of reality is reasoning.

Reality is comprised of the reasons of that which exists, therefore the essense of reality necessarily is reasoning.

PROP VI; Intelligence is a constituent of reality.

Everything that comprises my reasoning is a form of intelligence. Therefore intelligence necessarily is a constituent of reality.

Corollary; It follows that reality necessarily contains all intelligence e.g. omniscient.

PROP VII; Reality is God.

Reality is eternal, omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. Therefore reality is God.

That actually makes so much sence, perhaps god is the ancient peoples way of describing what they see/feel.

I am glad to have shared something that makes sense to you.

Theologically this is called monopantheism. I am a rationalist and a Christian.

Be blessed,

Mars

>>>Hi PEternal. A very neat philosophical synopsis. thanks.

Does "being a Chrisitan" include the Messiahship of Jesus as Savior and Son of David. Just curious.

Please define your meaning of 'exists' and 'existence' as I see your definition of 'reality' is built on top of those two. This would help for me to go further with what you are discussing.

As in propositional calculus I use "exists" and "existence' as the existential qualifier.

Do you mean life is self-deterministic?

Would you agree reality is self-deterministic?

an interesting thought. I am one of Jehovah's witnesses. The bible calls Jehovah the god of dynamic energy. I've read that energy NEVER disappears..we are made of molecule and atoms which are necessarily matter, but have much energy. If the formula E=MC2 is correct, then the reverse would be true also..if god can slow down his energy in a controlled way, then matter could come to exist from that energy. This is in essence, would make the substance that we are made from eternal. This does not contradict the bible, for the bible says that we were created by god from the dust..we know the elements of the earth are made of molecules and atoms and possess much energy...the origin of the matter is energy..which the bible indicates is god..the god of dynamic energy.
just a thought...

You might be supprised brother that I was originally converted by Jehovah's Witnesses... baptized in 2000. I have studied the watchtower corporation backward and forward.

I was disfellowshiped for teaching the elders and reproving the governing body in 2004.

Right though, the bible actually explicitly teaches monopantheism.

Here is a few scriptures for example;

'What may be known about God is manifest because God made it manifest. His invisible [qualities], even his eternal power and Godship, are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made.' (Romans 1:19-20)

(Acts 17:28) "For by him we have life and move and exist, even as certain ones of the poets among YOU have said, 'For we are also his progeny.'"

Please note that the apostle Paul here quotes and espouses the doctrine of God's Immanence (Pantheism) from the text of Stoic philosophers;

(Epimenides' Cretica 'Cretan') "Thou livest and abidest forever, for in thee we live and move and have our being." Paul himself calls Epimenides a "prophet of there own" (Titus 1:12).

(Cleanthes' Hymn to Zeus) "For we are Thy offspring, taking the image only of Thy voice, as many mortal things as live and move upon the earth."

(Aratus' Ph殯mena 'Natural Appearances') "For every street, every market-place is full of Zeus. Even the sea and the harbour are full of this deity. Everywhere everyone is indebted to Zeus. For we are indeed his offspring."

Consider Jeremiah, for he shares similar expressions as Aratus;

(Jeremiah 23:24) "Or can any man be concealed in places of concealment and I myself not see him?" is the utterance of Jehovah. "Is it not the heavens and the earth that I myself actually fill?" is the utterance of Jehovah.

peace and love,

Mars
