an interesting thought. I am one of Jehovah's witnesses. The bible calls Jehovah the god of dynamic energy. I've read that energy NEVER disappears..we are made of molecule and atoms which are necessarily matter, but have much energy. If the formula E=MC2 is correct, then the reverse would be true also..if god can slow down his energy in a controlled way, then matter could come to exist from that energy. This is in essence, would make the substance that we are made from eternal. This does not contradict the bible, for the bible says that we were created by god from the dust..we know the elements of the earth are made of molecules and atoms and possess much energy...the origin of the matter is energy..which the bible indicates is god..the god of dynamic energy.
just a thought...
You might be supprised brother that I was originally converted by Jehovah's Witnesses... baptized in 2000. I have studied the watchtower corporation backward and forward.
I was disfellowshiped for teaching the elders and reproving the governing body in 2004.
Right though, the bible actually explicitly teaches monopantheism.
Here is a few scriptures for example;
'What may be known about God is manifest because God made it manifest. His invisible [qualities], even his eternal power and Godship, are
clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are
perceived by the things made.' (Romans 1:19-20)
(Acts 17:28) "For by him we have life and move and exist, even as certain ones of the poets among YOU have said, 'For we are also his progeny.'"
Please note that the apostle Paul here quotes and espouses the doctrine of God's Immanence (Pantheism) from the text of Stoic philosophers;
(Epimenides' Cretica 'Cretan') "Thou livest and abidest forever, for in thee we live and move and have our being." Paul himself calls Epimenides a "prophet of there own" (Titus 1:12).
(Cleanthes' Hymn to Zeus) "For we are Thy offspring, taking the image only of Thy voice, as many mortal things as live and move upon the earth."
(Aratus' Ph殯mena 'Natural Appearances') "For every street, every market-place is full of Zeus. Even the sea and the harbour are full of this deity. Everywhere everyone is indebted to Zeus. For we are indeed his offspring."
Consider Jeremiah, for he shares similar expressions as Aratus;
(Jeremiah 23:24) "Or can any man be concealed in places of concealment and I myself not see him?" is the utterance of Jehovah. "Is it not
the heavens and the earth that
I myself actually fill?" is the utterance of Jehovah.
peace and love,
