I see no one has posted in here a while but thats ok...
I just recieved the book Swingin Chicks of the Sixties a couple of days ago, it has two pages on Jean Shrimpton

Hi, i'm doing a project about skirt shapes in Fashion and how they'v changed over the decades and i was just wondering if anybody knows where i could find a picture of The Shrimp in the infamous white mini dress lol.

Back in the 60s, Jean authored a book (ghostwritten by Romany Bain) called The Truth About Modelling. It was a paperback you could find on the rack in American supermarkets and drugstores. It had black and white photos scattered throughout the book. I read it so many times! I still had it till recently when a landlord/roommate of mine deliberately got a restraining order against me and disappeared with all my valuables before I could get the order overturned. He claims my stuff is in storage at his friends' houses, so I don't know if I'll ever see this little treasure book again.

More recently, she authored a book titled, I think, A Life or My Life. It seems to have been published only in the U.K. You can always phone their consulate, ask for "information officer" and track down the publisher and get the name of a bookstore willing to do mail orders from over there.

David Bailey, with whom she was thick at one time, is an old man now and has published an autobiography.

There is a 65 year old woman listed as being Jeans Shrimpton; aside from Tom, she only has one friend! As fans of hers, we need to Add her!
