I know I am early on this one but here it is.

Venus will go Retrograde Dec 24-Feb 3, these will be "rough" relating days, and even if you don't think you are in a relationship, you will have some sort of challenge with a teacher, family member, friend, whatever, basically it means Venus is coming to town to walk with us all and make sure our relationships are REAL she will break up anything superficial, or stand in to help work out issues. This only happens every year and a half.

The good news about all this is that Feb 3-Mar 7, Venus will be stationed to go direct at 16 Capricorn. During these days if you meet someone and start a relationship it is guaranteed to be "Venus" approved. That doesn't neccessarily mean that it will work out, but it does mean that it will be a meaningful relationship and the possibility of long-term commitment is definately there. So if you are single, GO OUT!!

Nov 22nd is when Venus shadow begins and it ends Mar 6th. I'm assuming you were talking about the shadow in the 2nd para.

Where I am, Venus goes retro at 5:37AM with a 26 Scorp (TROP) AC. Since Mars will be at 9 Taurus square Saturn at 10 Leo, does anyone think that would set the tone for this retro or would it reflect how people in this area would feel it? I'm just curious. Venus will also be at 1 Aquarius conjunct Chiron at 1 Aqua and you have the moon at 9 Libra conjunct the 9 Libra south node. I would post my thoughts on this one but I'm convinced I would be accused of being negative.

BTW, the official end of the actual retro is Feb 3 5:19 AM (EDT) with the AC at 26 Sag and Pluto will be at 25 Sag 59. Jupiter will be 17 Scorp square Neptune at 17 Aquarius and the moon will be 20 Aries on the 19 Aries IC.

Negative or not, you should share your thoughts, it sounds like your really paying attention to this day. We all know that something positive will come out of a negative, for example, Saturn.

Hopefully, if I've done this right you can view the moment it goes rx and dir in both tropical and sidereal zodiacs. Keep in mind I've been interpreting things lately using the sidereal zodiac using Ptolemys table of planetary dignities. Even without the specific zodiac or the table I've been using to see plantary strength, you can still see the aspects between the planets and planets that are angular or on the zenith or nadir (highest and lowest points in the chart) as opposed to what's on the MC or IC because these are two different things.

With the Rx chart, the moon in on the south node and quincunx Mars with is being opposed by Jupiter. I really think emotional reactions that happen at that time could prove to be a source of pain when Venus hits Sidereal 6 Cap again in the future and emotional reactions being someone's undoing could be a theme for this retro. Sidereal Pluto is at 29 Scorp....maybe this will force us to transform our values and reevaluate what we hold valuable. Mars squares Saturn and again that could be lack of discipline with actions. With Merc sextile Neptune, idealistic (perhaps unrealistic) thinking and communication should come easy. Keep in mind that Venus is almost EXACTLY conjunct to the minute Chiron...wounding and healing. I really think we need to use the loose (4 degree orb) trine between Saturn and Merc to try to keep a logical head about us.
Where I am, the AC is 2 Scorp with Mars in Aries in the 6th. If you look you can see the Cardinal cross (depending on the width of orb you use) involving Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune.

In the Direct chart, you have Pluto conjunct the AC, Jupiter and Neptune are most definitely square and techinicall Merc is conjunct Neptune squaring Jupiter. It just doesn't look good for clarity of communication or thoughts. Also, Mars is still square Merc and Nep and opposed Jupiter. I'm using wider orbs than normal but when you have a lot of things working together they can draw each other in and the orbs can be a little bit wider. The widest I'm going in this case is just under 6 degrees. Venus and Jupiter are sextile with Venus square the moon. Idealism about the things we value/love can be big and be a source of emotional turmoil. The south node is in the 10th house so past deeds might become public. Being that the south node is ruled by Merc (Sidereal) which is conjunct Neptune...well you get the picture. I think with the sun right there, the spotlight will be on. I'm just really not liking that placement of Pluto.

Sarah, I think both are true. You can look to it to provide the time of introspection or experience the blowing up of things and get mad. When Merc is retro, it's a good time to work on editing things written for example but to give a very public speech followed by a question and answer session that is not PLANNED and edited...you know, winging it... That seems to be the problem with the retros. They don't seem to be good for doing external things spontaneously and expecting happy and successful results. They seem to be good for a lot of "outta left field" type experiences. Can anyone here relate?
