OK, now for something a little less up close and personal! Am wondering if anyone out there has had to fight over uni timetables. I have got next year’s timetable and have a lecture schedule 6pm to 9pm - obviously a totally unsuitable time for me, especially give that the subject is a core subjects and Complex Criminal Cases (Law for Chemistry) - not exactly a lightweight course! I contacted my disabilities officer @ uni, because in the past I have had night exams rescheduled for the same reason with no problem. However, I just got an e-mail back saying that it does not look like rescheduling this subject will be possible, although they can arrange recordings of lectures and meeting with the subject co-ordinator - not really a great alternative to a subject involving oral presentations and mock trial.

Has anyone had to have this fight - and won?!?!?!? Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!

I had a similar situation this semester, 6pm-8pm friday night lecture! It was the ONLY lecture for that unit, so I was unable to change it, however I have managed to get by using the audio recordings and following along with printed lecture notes, plus making sure I use all the online study resources to help me through exams. Could they do a video recording for you? Audio is good, but still hard to follow at times when you can’t see what’s going on in the room! iTunes has free university lecture video and audio downloads from uni’s worldwide, you can search for any topic pretty much!

Hope they work something suitable out for you Kat, good luck!
