I blame Billups. He’s taking bad shots and not getting Melo the ball where and when he needs it. He hasn’t been himself.
In some of the previous games (like Miami) you’re right about Billups. Against the Hawks the problem is that the game was only about Chauncey and Melo, and nobody else was involved. We got no production from the two guys inserted into the starting lineup.
Overall our shooting percentage was low - esp beyond the arc. And we only had 18 assists compared to Atlanta’s 30. They had 6 players with more than 2 assists. We only had 2 players do that. So we’re not sharing the basketball - but it goes way beyond Billups.
We also don’t have anyone running the wings to spread the floor. An LK-style player wouldn’t be bad in that role. JR would be a plus - obviously. We missed Kenyon on D. Strike that - we missed everyone on D!
We’ve really lacked any rhythm as a team since the 3rd game.
