The group leader or one of the long time Yankee members here should start a thread other than one started by a fucking Philly fan!!! Come on!!~

We need Burnett to come up big for us tonight. It would really be sweet to put a hurting on Pedro though...let him know that the Yankees are still his daddy. haha.

The Yankee bats besides Jeter and A-Rod have looked terrible all postseason. If Texeira doesn’t remember how to hit then we will be in trouble as the Phillies will score more runs than our previous 2 opponents.

Our overrated multi million dollar lineup always sucks in the playoffs and will be our demise even if our good pitching holds up.

ithink if we want 2 win, arod needs 2 come thru like he did in the alds/cs. he hit over .430 with 5 homers and 12 rbis and in the ws hes 0-8 with 6k’s hes one of the reasons y were here in the ws if not the main hitter

I’ll give the Phillies credit..... they come to play.
They really are the class of the NL. Pedro actually look good out there. I’m a bit disapointed in how our hitters and how they chased several pitches in both games 1 and 2 and then the pitches down the middle of the plate they just stood there and let them fly past and struck out. I understand that hitting isn’t easy and the Philly pitchers are doing a good job confusing out hitters but we need to get on it when at bat or they will steal the series from us.
The pitching looks pretty evenly matched. The difference is who will get those clutch hits. This will defintely be a 7 game series. I just hope our hitters step up and do what they do best.

AJ was HUGE tonight. No other way to say it. The team is in a hitting slump at the wrong time though...... 3 runs off Peedro in 7inn is the best we can do????? The guy was throwing batting practice, pleeze, we need to hit!!
Good to see Tex and Mats finally get on track.
I’m looking for the offense to get in gear in Philly, it has to.

the offense needs to not try and hit the ball 600 feet every time and go for big innings

Give the Phillies a little credit! Our hitters are struggling because they are pitching good. Plain and simple.

I disagree there Jax...Pedros age and velocity in these later years of his career have never been his problem...just his ability to stay healthy...some pitchers have good enough to stuff to make up for a loss of velocity in their fastball in the later years of their career...like Mussina did...and if anyone saw the way his pitches were movin tonight...you’d agree with me...his stuff wasnt bad...causing his 88 mph fastball to make Jeter swing like it was comin at him at 99

Abel...their only over-rated when they’re not hitting...when Teixiera is hitting a walk-off off Nathan or Arod ties the game with a blast as weve seen...then either people say nothing...or say "thats why we pay him 30 mil"...relax lol

Good observations, I just get frustrated when the Yanks can’t hit ’junk’ like that and I dislike Peedro very much.
