And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Ex 3:14

This was what God told Moses when he encountered Him at the burning bush (Ex 3:1-22).

This is our true situation in our existence. For the name Moses means ’drawn-out’, as he was from the Nile when Pharaoh’s daughter found him (Ex 2:1-10). The word ’existence’ means "to out-stand", that is, to ’stand-out’, which we do existentially, we stand-out from pure Being, Pure I Am-ness, as it is also written,

For in him we live, and move, and have our being Acts 17:28a.

It’s in Him, the I Am that we live, move and have our existence. It’s in this sense that I Am hath sent us.

We seek perhaps to be One with God, we seek transcendence, we seek Oneness beyond distinction, beyond this or that. Yes, this is available and the Lord’s will, that we would be One, even as the Father and the Son are One:

As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world... That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Jn 17:18, 21-23

Notice above that there is an oft repeated thought here from the Lord Jesus that He was intent on the world believing that He was sent, and that He sent us into the world even as He was sent into the world. And all this is tied to our Oneness in Him, in His Essence. I Am hath sent me unto you, as Moses said. Our existence is a ’standing out’ from Pure Being, even the I Am. And for us to realize this Oneness, we have to take our focus and identification away from our existential self, and place it on our essential self, non-existent in itself, and empty. But in this essential self, the True Self, or the True Nature is realized as when dust is wiped off a mirror.

But here’s the thing, in Hinduism, for example, there’s usually a debate as to whether ultimate reality is to be conceived as dual (dvaita), or as non-dual (advaita). Thus for the nondualist, they may see their union as Ultimate Identity, and deny anything witnessed in Consciousness as non-existent. And for the dualist, he may see ultimate union with God as a "union of wills" as also has been conceptualized within much of Christian mysticism. Yet the true situation is that which has been termed dvaita-advaita, dual-nondualism. There are other terms we don’t have time to go over. But this is a di-polar concept that both dualism and non-dualism are true. For the dvaitists (dualists), bakti-yoga is the primary focus, which is devotional yoga toward their chosen deity. And for the advaitists (noon-dualists), vedanta-yoga is stressed as more of a transcendentalist type of meditation, beyond images and forms. But in a di-polar cosmology, where both approaches are true, that God is One in His Being, and ultimately only He exists, and also that within Consciousness both God and we exist, both approaches are true and appropriate. We may worship God through bakti-yoga, and also transcend duality through vedantic type of yoga.

In this sense we come to know Christ, the Logos, as divine Consciousness, ’sent’ or emanated from Pure non-delimited Being, and ourselves, as aspects of that Consciousness, as sent with Him, or from Him. Thus, in our existence, we are sent from the I Am. And for eternity, we may know both realities simultaneously, or else vacillate between I Am-ness and our awareness as personal existences within Consciousness in relation to a personal God.

This solves an often dilemma between folk who seek union with God or Oneness, not knowing what that fully entails in terms of their self having to be denied and forsaken in True Identity, and those who seek Enlightenment or Self-realization, yet think that they will forever be annihilated as existences, though the ego-self does cease. Yet there will be an aspect of us, ’sent’ from the I Am, that will enjoy interaction and interpersonal relationships within the love of Consciousness.

May this be a blessing to whomsoever it was meant.

Blessings.

If you were His customer, would you have been willing to pay the price?

I’m a beggar, however, I’ll never ask you for money. I want your life.
