I’m 16 and I have lost all of my hair, the top eyelashes on my right eye and half on the bottom of the left eye anf part of my eyebrows. Just about everyone at my school is aware of me having alopecia and that i wear a wig... or they assume I just got finished with chemo (which I try to correct people on) and they seem cool with it. But there is this guy that I’m really starting to like and I’m pretty sure he likes me but he doesn’t go to my school and has no idea about me being bald and I have no idea how to tell him because I’m afraid of what his reaction will be. Can somebody help me with this?

I had to go through this many times in my early 20’s when i had to wear a wig (i wore a wig for 6 years). I had lost all the hair on my head, both eyebrows, and all the lashes on my bottom left eye. I found it easier to just let the guy know right away. I never had a guy not date me anymore because of it, and i didn’t have to go around feeling like i was deceiving anyone. If a guy is shallow enough to not like you because of your Alopecia...it’s good to know sooner than later, don’t ya think!?
