We know that small venues are having a tough time around the UK and many have bitten the dust. The UK Government and Local Authorities do very little to support live music and this is to the detriment of our cultural well-being as a nation. A general election is imminent and we hope that, in the hustings, our industry will ask challenging questions to party candidates about whether they will champion the cause of live music. Support for live music and the venues that provide is vital. Live music is part of the UK’s cultural hertiage and one that is too often over looked. Our small venues deserve more help from Government.
