hello, so i was looking at my tau codex, i am confused. so if i make a xv8 a shas’vre can i equipp it with a airbursting frag projector or a cyclic ion blaster or both????? and i have a o’shovah can his bodyguard have a airbursting frag projector or a cyclic ion blaster or both?????

It’s been a while, but I think you can give any unit (besides the honorable Shas’O Shovah, of course) an Airbursting Frag Launcher of Cyclic Ion Blaster, BUT, in a nonapocalypse game, both weapons are 0-1 - meaning you can only bring 1 of each in your whole army, so it’s generally not worth it giving it to anything less than a Shas’O simply because of the lower ballistic skill/survivability. Also, yes, you can give both to the same person.

i was going to give a bodyguard..shas’vre both the AFP , CIB, trgeting array, hw multi-tracker and Iridium armour. do you think it will work well??

I’d suggest giving someone you’re sinking so many points into a Shield Generator instead just in case you don’t end up losing him to some AP 2 weapon.
