Hi Bree,
At one time this was a very active and wonderful group! I think with the onset of internet tatting blogs, twitter and the like people have moved on.
I am always here to help and encourage but I can’t carry the group alone.
Kind Regards,
Sherry

I am still a beginner, I revently switched from needle tatting to shuttle tatting, I was getting good at the needle tatting, but found it limiting in some of the things I wanted to try, or atleast I thought it was limiting me, lol, maybe I am just not adept haha... so, I am just now getting the stitches down with the shuttles, quite different, working the switches but I am getting the hang of it. I am not up to anything fancy yet, hoping to get there, and I am not nearly as fast as I was with needle and thread, infact, I am not comparing myself to tortise and the haire, lol, currently at tortise speed... slow but determined :P I will keep plugging away and eventually get there :) I do envy some of the beautiful work I see some of you who have done this for a while, I consider it a great talent that isn’t done often enough any more , just like bobbin lace, I eventually want to learn that too, lol, ambitious? a little, haha... happy tatting :)

Bobbin lace is pretty amazing. I found a book with information on creating bobbin lace...maybe one day I’ll invest some time and money into that!
I have to admit: I needle tatted for about a week then decided I was ready for shuttles! It’s amazing how much that has opened the world of tatting for me! I recently made a dragon for my husband and he loves it! My niece visited for a week in August and she picked one of my shuttles and started tatting! Amazing! Obviously it’s never too late or too early to start tatting!
If you would be interested in a bookmark exchange, I’d be happy to pair up with you. Let me know.
