The Puerto Rico Democracy act of 2009 (H.R. 2499), according to an AOL article, would "authorize" the Puerto Rican government to vote about whether they ultimately want to become our 51st state or not. While Puerto Rico is presently a U.S. territory, it is not a U.S. state. What needs to be questioned is where this is all heading. And while Puerto Rico isn’t located in Mexico, I think this question still needs to be asked: is Washington using this as a way to start "desensitizing" "We the People" from another of their schemes? After all, Puerto Rico is only one of several U.S. territories that isn’t considered a state.

There have been several reports on World Net Daily in the past about America’s borders being erased to the point that we would become one territory with Canada and Mexico. This move, or perhaps it could be called a "movement" has been called the North American Union. At one point there was a grass-roots movement that was fighting this because of the damage that it would do to our economy and because it’s unconstitutional. I’d hate to think what could happen if we did this today. The collapse of the American dollar, maybe? Funny. It’s been suggested that our government is also working on creating a new currency to go along with the North American Union. It would most likely be called the Amero. Hmmm, could this be what Obama meant when he indicated that there would be change and that America would be rebuilt? But in all fairness, he would have had some "help" from the previous administration. Perhaps the above is one explanation for why over 30 states are taking the time to remind Washington about the 10th amendment. www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/

Erasing the borders would certainly be something that could pave the way for the One World government, which is illustrated with some rich symbolism in Revelation chapter 13. By the way, it also includes the concept of a one world currency and a one world religion, which absolutely won’t tolerate Christianity. But then neither will it tolerate anything other than the worship of the one world dictator -- symbolically referred to in that passage of scripture as "The Beast." Jesus referred to the one world dictator as "the abomination of desolation" in Matthew 24:15…the same chapter in which He talks about "the beginnings of sorrows," "great tribulation," and His own return. And no one knows the exact day much less the exact hour of that. But Matthew 24:32-33 tells us that we can know that "it is near." We can also know that we’re ready for it. All that’s necessary for being ready is to choose to prayerfully invite Jesus into our lives today.
