Well, where to begin? They say only 1 out of 10000 people would have survived what happened to me last Monday. I was pinned under a car for 45 minutes and I received 9 broken ribs, 2 bruised lungs, a bruised heart, a fractured skull and the loss of 75% mobility in my left arm. I’ve undergone testing for nerve damage but the results aren’t in yet. My respiratory and cardiology issues could lead to further complications, the least of which could be a stroke. I am a general contractor but the recovery time for these injuries is going to be so long that I’m going to need to rely on my artistic talent in the future. My medical bills are already in excess of $40000 and continue to rise. I have no insurance and as a single white male with no children, the possibility of help from the State is nil.
