Can’t make it to Poets Express? Don’t cry; there’s still a chance to be part of the night!

I’m looking for contributions of poetry from people who CAN’T be with us in July. Some will get printed in the brochure for the evening, some I hope to add visually to the footage I’m cutting down. The footage consists of simple Irish landscapes - waves crashing, waterfalls, field flowers, etc. I want to add poetry in a big font, one line at a time, and run it over the footage. Right now I can ONLY guarantee that it will be shown on a telly screen - but I’m working on a projection unit, so hope for the best!

What I need from you if you want your poetry to be included:

1. Message me directly here or at PoetsExrpress@darkworld.com.
2. Subject of the message should say ’Poets Express poetry contribution’
3. Give me the name you write under (real or pen) and the web address of your home page to direct interested readers your way.
4. Give me your poem(s).

I’ll use as many as I possibly can. Any poet included in the video footage for the night WILL get listed in the brochure as well (which is why I’d like your web page to direct them to). Copyright remain with you.

At this time, I am only planning on releasing the taped performances of the night as videos on the internet. However, if you really would like to see how your poem turns out, please let me know by stating that CLEARLY in your message to me. I’ll add it to the video releases when I finally get to them (expected beginning date 15 July 2009) and they will be uploaded to Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube.
