Our annual event to have fun and raise money for our kids summer camp program - Camp Independence. Money raised allows us to send kids with bleeding disorders to camp every year.

Camp Independence is specifically tailored to the needs of children with inherited bleeding disorders where they gain valuable skills needed for living independently, while at the same time having fun in a safe, medically-supervised setting. Studies show that children with chronic disease improve their confidence and coping skills when they participate in a medically supervised summer camp. Along with professional counselors, the camp is staffed by adults who themselves have a bleeding disorder and serve as mentors and role models for the youth. Interested youth are also given the opportunity to learn to self-infuse their clotting factor medication.

This 1 mile fun walk is happening May 30th, 2009 at Mission Hills Park
551 E Mission Drive, Henderson, NV from 11:00- 3:00 pm

Walk starts at 11:30 with Prize drawings, BBQ, and tons of fun immediately following.
