yelling, crying, lack of sleep and thats just day. It get s worse from there. Oh yea. No PT any more so don’t worry about that. People will tell you that there is but they lie.

Well the Pt bit is good news. So its kinda what i thought it would be.. dang that sucks.

BTW on other Army Message Boards you will get flamed for having PVT in you’re name. You aren’t a private just because you raised your hand. You’re not a PVT till you finish BCT.

I went to BCT in 01 when BCT was somewhat STILL hard. I heard Army BCT now is a piece of cake so I wouldnt worry too much.

Yea my roomate is army and his brother recently got back from basic and was saying crazy stuff like about getting a pizza party when they qualified with their rifles, and I’m looking at him like WTF. Do you know what I got for qualifying with my weapon, my a** kicked (I’m USCG), and I look at my roomate like WTF, and he just looked at me and said, that’s not how it was when I went through I swear. So evidently it’s much easier than it used to be.

Is it really going to be that easy.. My recruiter told me running, push ups, sit ups, and more running...

Yea make sure you try and condition yourself to running more because running is a big part of the Army life but definitely work on pushups, situps...

I dont get the part where he qualifies and gets his ass kicked as a reward. Doubt that happened.

When I was there is didnt seem so bad, I got medically discharged and sent home which really sucks. They said to try again in six months which I fully intend to do.
