I just attended a wedding last night it was great.
The couple are part of a Reinasonis (?) group.
And they wanted to have it like a medivial castle, the set up was so cool.
When you walked into the wedding site, they had a drawbridge over a moat that you entered in.
The walls they had put up plywood that they had painted to look like stone walls.
The tables was old wooden tables and benches.
With handipped candles were the only light.
The wedding party all wore the period costumes.
I had never seen anything like it. I wish I had my camera.

For the reception they served Turkey legs, and had silver goblets for the drinks.

Has anyone ever done or seen a wedding like this?

We’re doing a wedding similar to this. The guys are still picking out their outfits, but my ladies have a good idea what they’re getting. I’ve also decided to have a castle cake, but we’re putting Romeo and Juliet figures on top (his last name is Montague, after all). For favors, we’re having little thick ivory paper bags with brown swirls from Michael’s and putting inside a little organza bag of wildflower seeds and an herbal candle or a crystal (such as amethyst, quartz, tiger eye, etc...) and stating on the tag of the bag what the candle or crystal is used for (such as amethyst for pleasant dreams).

We’re also gonna have his mom paint a Montague family crest on a poster board and above will have our names and below will have our wedding date. Michael’s also has little lanterns for $3 and we’re gonna place one black and one white on each table on opposite ends of each other to give the reception a nice rustic look. That’s pretty much all we have so far. If anyone has any good ideas for food or drinks, feel free to message me!
