Dale Konnopasek (Untimely life) and I (Michael-Pal ) have just completed a book featuring Knoxville as the setting for the Apocalypse....
Coming soon to a store or coffee shop near you (if you live in Knoxville... oh don’t worry, we also have an account with Amazon.com)

-Art and Lance talk (Unpublished) -
"Society’s fraying at the edges, look at these people," Art says, pointing at the people loitering along the once empty streets of Knoxville. A gust of wind swirls trash and leaves in the alleyway off to Art and Lance’s left. "See," pointing at the trash tornado, "there’s as much nature as there is garbage these days."
"You’re wrong, dear boy," Lance says in his expected condescending way. "Society is fraying at the seams, it’s much worse than you think. Much, much, worse. If this is what you see on the surface, then we’re in deep. This is evidentiary that what lies beneath the surface is graver indeed. The truth is that most of humanity hides their fetishes, their fantasies, their deep dark dirtiness. The secrets, that very rarely see the light of day, are the ones that define us as people. But, these days, the Internet brings all those things to the surface. Get online, you’ll see us rotting out from the inside. This country is tearing apart like continental rifts. They’ll be social earthquakes and tsunamis."
Art stops, turns, looks directly at Lance. "Don’t you think you’re going a little overboard?"
"When the ships going down...there’s no choice but to go overboard."
