Me and my boyfriend got a cockatiel 5 days ago.His names Dakota. When we first got him he was calm as can be. Then last night he started squaking really loud. We went to take him out of the cage to calm him down and he started attacking our hands. I was wondering if anyone knows why he is behaving this way?

Birds will do that. Especially if you just got him. He is testing you. My tiel did that and still does every once in awhile. Sometimes its a warning just to let you know they want to be left alone, other times its because they are scared and sometimes they are just testing you. The most important thing is not to pull your hand away from him when he does that.
