I am a novice scuba diver that recently bought a cool resort on Ambergris Caye. I would like input on what divers want with respect to their accomodations when they travel to dive. lively nightlife or early to bed, quick breakfast in the AM or the works or just coffee, etc, etc.

Accommodations that would really depend on the type of diving i am doing if i am going to shoot/Photograph the sea life i prefer to have at least 2 tables like a 4x4 and a 3x6 in the room and a queen size bed and usually 3-4 chairs. and 2 power strips to plug all the stuff in. as for the Food that would have to be easy if the diver is travailing with there family i would say a light meal on the way to the dive site would be best. but for the rest of the family that is not going to dive the would more that likely want the works for a meal then a small list of site to go see that are in the area. but the biggest question is are you making the meals part of the stay or the are they extra? and the same for the divers is the small meal/snack part of the dive or is it extra? are you making it a place like Super Clubs were all the meals and drinks are part of the package or is it like a traditional resort were Meals and drinks are extra? I would also suggest that you find a local Coffee grower / Local company that sells a selection of Good Coffee. hope this info helps you.

Thanks a lot. Every little bit of information helps. We are not really set up for the all inclusive type of stay (meals included) but I certainly could work in that direction. Right now we outsource the dives and excursions. We are a little to small at this point to handle doing our own tours and such. Anyway, come check us out the next time you dive the barrier reef in Belize. http://www.coconutsbelize.com

I like good coffee, freash fruit and maybe a bowl of cereal. Sometimes biscuits and eggs. But most of the time a light start is great. My wife and I enjoy good local soups when we travel and dive for lunch. We will llok for a good dinner and drinks at night Once my dive day is over i like to get a few beers and set out by my room or get close to the water and watch the day go by, towards the end of my dive trip I will save up for a late night out. But scuba diving takes alot of rest if you are super diving as much as you can during the week,
