Hello, everyone. I’d like to wish you all a happy 2009.
2008 was an exciting year for me because I moved to Los Angeles, where I’ve wanted to live for several years. It’s exciting to know I live in one of the most creative and opportunity-filled cities in the world.
In late 2007 and early 2008, I got lots of work done on the next Autohypnosis album. And while it is, unfortunately, still unfinished, I will continue to work on it in 2009 for an anticipated release sometime in the next millennium.
Seriously, it’s been almost three years since
The Surface was released, and I never thought it would take so long to complete a follow-up to it. I don’t like to project release dates; that always seems like setting oneself up for failure to deliver on time. I’m not even going to promise that the new music will come out in the next year. I can tell you, though, that the new album will have 15 songs, so when you finally do get it, you’ll have lots of music.
To those of you – the few and the awesome – who are genuinely looking forward to new music from Autohypnosis, I appreciate your patience and dedication more than you’ll ever know.
One thing I did manage to do this week, though, is update the Autohypnosis website, so I invite you to check out its slightly new look and new content:
www.autohypnosis.net.
Happy New Year, everyone.
