I have realized that how a person views life determines their priorities, goals, relationships, values, and expectations. My life metaphor is that I view life as a garden that even though it is MY responsibility to tend it and make sure it grows in the way that I want it to grow, however a garden CANNOT grow without sunshine or special light to nourish it and provide nutrients other than the kind given in plant food or naturally in the soil. God is my sunshine for the garden of my life. I have to tend my own life through living up to my responsibilities and priorities in proactive action, but God gives me life, direction, peace, and nourishment for my life through his light, but I can’t get anywhere without first taking up the spade, digging a hole in the soil, dropping seeds, and tending the plant along it’s life responsibly. I came up with this thought thinking that I should write this down so I won’t forget the meaning behind the metaphor, and share w/ others so they might understand my views and they might be inspired at the same time. -jj

Life is a metaphore for what you feel, I believe.
events that go on are a product of the collective concousness of humanity. We see love in the world because a large part of humanity loves, and we see hatred because a large part of humanity wants to see the world burn.

Merry Christmas oh silent group of ours.
Life is a painful thing. An exasperating thing. But an amazing blessing at the same time, and it’s our comparatively tiny period of preparation for the wonders of the eternity beyond. Short, fragile, beautiful, and oh so hurtful. I’ve not yet found a metaphor sufficient to describe this incubation period we call human life. Nor do I care to spend my days seeking such a thing. I’ve stripped away many of my excuses and my discontents in this life lately and have arrived at one particular point of determination to see out my assigned days. I’ve just been looking for ways to improve the situation of other people, to take the time to care for them and the time to reason with them when I see them clearly pursuing falsehoods. There’s nothing to be gained from silence and inaction and I’ve quite had my fill of both.
