’Salvation’ Art Video - New T4 Footage!
With T4’s impending trailer due out any day now, Terminator fans around the world are getting ready for the next 6 months of news, reviews, rumors and more! Whilst we’re all excited about T4, we’re understandably anxious... the first Terminator movie not to feature our main man, the Terminator, is about to be advertised for the world to see.
Whilst the wait for the first official trailer continues, here’s something to wet all your appetites - a sneaky peak at the art of ’Terminator: Salvation’!
’TERMINATOR: SALVATION - The Art of Martin Laing’ introduces us to Production Designer, Martin Laing. Martin talks about the research the filmmakers did in order to create the post apocalyptic world where Machines rule with an iron fist, and how this movie is set before any of the other Terminator movies (but ultimately after, seen as it is after Judgment Day and leads up to the events that happened in the first 3 movies...). We also learn that in this movie there will be 10 new Terminators - some will be in the water, some in the sky and some even travel along the road!
We see concept art of the ruins, wrackages of buildings, and the ’Harvester’, which is sent out by Skynet to capture members of the Resistance as they are found, Laing explains. The ’Harvester’ is a huge beast that hunts human figters and deploys other Terminators...(read below!) We also see concept art for Resistance bunkers and aircraft hangers, and the design of the T-600.
As Laing talks, new footage is played inbetween shots of him. We see new footage of Marcus the Terminator walking out of what seems to be some sort of post Judgment Day wreckage, footage of a Resistance soldier (could be Connor?) walking away from a grounded (seemingly ’dead’) T-600 Terminator and walking towards what could be a ground HK on fire. Two Resistance warriors (Connor and Reese?) running from the Harvester - a huge beast of a Terminator, which deploys ’Moto-Terminators’- motorised Terminators which chase humans at high speed, and we see a scene of ’Moto-Terminators’ chasing a large tanker. We see Connor face to face with some sort of ’hydrobot’, and then the concentration camp from the teaser trailer with T-600 prowling. Marcus is stood in a deserted area that begins to be shot up and we are then introduced to Kyle Reese, with the line, "come with me if you want to live". The footage is rounded off by a T-600 firing a mini gun into the air (seemingly after Kyle Reese & Marcus) and stepping on a human skull, cracking it.
Heard enough? Wanna see it? Here you go!
