As much as I wish I would have known Zach better, to this day, theres not a time I’m telling old band stories with new friends and old that a "Zach moment" doesn’t come up.
Like the night of my junior year when Me, Megan, and the rest of the section leaders went to dollar tree to buy gifts for our sections before we left for Everett.
Zach came running through the store yelling "guys! guys! look what I found!" Zach was holding a box of Douche or "Doo-chi" as he liked to call it. "look! it’s Doo-chi!"
We were all pretty speachless because at this point all of 4 customers and 3 employees were staring at us. We tried to play it off and be like, "Zach, no. go put it away." He was like, "but look, it even comes with its own squirt bottle for deep cleaning!" We hung our heads and were like "Jesus Zach, put it away". "but why? this is awesome! it even has a hint of Musk! ...wait? isn’t that the smell you’re trying to get rid of??!" We were absolutely speechless and just turned and started walking and said, "Zach, no" He was finally like, "ok fine, you guys are no fun. Here you go Megan!" LOL
