A partisan group, within the partisan Milwaukee Mayor’s office is trying to make another mole into a mountain...and failing miserably. The Milwaukee Elections Commisssion ( MEC) has no legal authority over any election...it’s a front to intimidate voters.
They are claiming ACORN, a non-profit housing advocay group is attempting voter fraud.
ACORN discovered and stopped all the suspect voter registration forms from being processed, officially. Not one made it into the states SRVS, voter database.
What’s funny and typical of the Wisconsin Republicans, is that all Milwaukee County registration, have to first go through this partisan office, BEFORE they are legally and officially sent to the municipal clerks for actual entry into the voter lists.
Why is MEC claiming that there is a fraud attempt, before the documents were entered...especially when each of the suspect forms was flagged as INVALID, by ACORN and the MEC notified immediately?
So they can scream like bansee’s over nothing. They have to have something ’hot button’ in Wisconsin....they have no gay, immigrant, gun or other referendum to decalre will save Wisconsin from itself....so it’s voter fraud, again.
In 2004 & 2006 the US Atty Biskupic(GOP) claimed over 30,000 fraudulent votes were cast.
The state audited and found two....Yep, two votes out of almost 3.5 Million cast.
Wisconsin’s new Elections Board banned any party from registering voters, in Feb 2008.
Only state trained and certified Special Registration Deputies can do it, or the municipal clerk or the pollworker on election day. Not the MEC, unless they sent some staffers for SRD training.
Why is the GOP screaming? The Dem supporting groups have registered almost 350,000 new voters, and almost 500,000 simple address changes...the GOP groups have not even registered, 25,000 in 2008.
I expected something as stupid as this, to occur this year.
But I also expect the GOP to lose significant support this year, in Wisconsin.
Feb’s primary had one or the highest turnouts in state history, with Obama & Clinton getting almost 60% of the entire states votes. FDR didn’t even win by that margin.
Wisconsin has not elected a GOP President since 1984. And we have had only one two-term GOP Senator since Joe McCarthy shamed Wisconsin and humanity in general.

Please blog this trumped up voter fraud issue, where and when you see it.
We have to stop the misleading and false lies the GOP KoolAid crowd is spewing online.
Write you newspaper editors and support Wisconsin’s new and fair election system.
