My husband and I are trying to get a clown show together to perform in local churches and was wondering just what kind of order or things you use in one...I have several ideas, but I have been working for months trying to figure out how to get it to flow from one thing to another...not as easy as it sounds...takes alot of brains and it seems mine isn’t as good as it once was....I used to lay awake at night and my mind would never quit...lately it seems like it has quit...lol...the ideas don’t come as readily as they used to. Have a great day and I hope to gain alot of confidence and skills and knowledge from you all and I hope I have something you can use sometime also!

Give your show an easily understood theme, divide it up into a beginning a middle and end, just like a story. "Tell them what you are going to tell them, tell it to them, then tell them what you told them." Audience participation pieces are a good opening, routines that involve the entire audience. Always try to write down the entire show, script style. I use two columns when I write my shows: the right side is what I will say, the left side is what I will do. Now, I don’t always stick to the script exactly, and it changes quite a bit from show to show with ad libs and situational interactions, but it gives me a framework to fall back on if things go awry.
