yo wats up since this room is pretty dead I thought about making another post, who’s your top 3 fave rappers of all time and ur favorite new generation rappers, YOU’RE OPINION!!!.

3.Biggie
2.Nas
1.Big L

reason why I didn’t put Pac is because the man’s overrated, Biggie is somehow is too but he had better rappin skills then Pac, so Pac would be my 4 if I said top 5 fave rappers, Biggie number 3 because I love his flow, lyrics and punchlines but he’s overrated like I said, Nas at 2 is because I’ve been listening to him since his debut album (Illmatic) and I was like 2 or 3 when it came out and I loved the shit even tho I didn’t know what the hell he was talking about back then, I still listen to all his albums today but Illmatic and It Was Written really put Nas as my 2nd favorite rapper of all time, and last but not least Big L, he may not have had the complicated lyrics like Nas has but he still had shit that made u laugh, there has not been one song that I did not like from Big L, he was mad underrated, punchline king, mad storytelling, made a song about Ebonics(who has done that), flow, style, his beats were always dope, plus he created the Horrorcore genre (if u didn’t know), he outshined Jay-z in a freestyle, and the main thing is that mostly not that many ppl know of him which makes him underrated, too bad his life was cut short, all that stuff he did over those 7 years of rappin truely made him my favorite rapper of all time.

New Gen
3.SuperNatural
2.Kanye West
1.Lupe Fiasco

SuperNat is a really and I mean really a great freestyler, the man asks u to give him items which he could rap about so u know he’s freestyling, he’s done a freestyling world record by freestyling for 9 hours!!!!! without taking a break let’s see Wayne do something like that, probably the greatest freestyler of all time, Kanye West at my 2 he’s not really new but I couldn’t think of anybody else of this generation better then Kanye right now other then my 1 pick, yes, Kanye is at 2 because 1. all his albums are dope as hell, 2.he can move the mainstream crowd and the hip-hop heads,3. really dedicated to Hip-hop (example:Through The Wire) and he’s one of the only producers that I think who should be rapping and makes dope beat, yea Kanye’s a legend in the making like it or not, and last but not least my 1 fave new gen rapper is...... yea u guessed it (or looked at my list) Lupe Fiasco, my freshman year of highschool in 2006 I had a friend on my bus that had a CD player and I wanted to listen to it and he was listening to a dope song that was from Food and Liquor "Just Might Be Ok" that was the first song I’ve heard from Lupe, so later on that day I came home and Rap City was on, I saw a music video with Jill Scott, a robot and a dude with a skateboard and glasses with some dope lyrics called "Day dream" that was the second time I’ve heard a Lupe song in one day that I liked, so I looked on the internet for some more stuff from him and look he had mixtapes, I bought all of them from amazon and listened to all of them before his album came out, I bought that album and there was not one song on there that I did not like, Metaphores, story telling he had it right down the spot, he put any other rappers in the mainstream to shame because he didn’t have that gangster image, he had his own image and that’s what made Wasalu Muhammad Jaco=Lupe Fiasco, he’s had 2 albums so far and I think both of them beats the Carter 3 by a long shot even if they didn’t make good sales and this is why I have Lupe Fiasco as my 1 favorite new gen rapper, FNF Up!!

Look the reason I made this shit so long is so we can see what type of rappers u like to listen to other than Lupe and to respect each others opinions, peace.

Alot of people list Big L in there top 5 greatest artists so for me he’s not underrated. He’s only underrated for those that don’t know hip hop, actually I find him to be overrated. He was indeed punchline king and was a good storyteller but he was extremely limited in his content and even though he used alot of multis his rhymes were still pretty simplistic.
Biggie also was limited but I think he was a more developed artist than Big L.

I’d say the most complete packages for emceeing would be

Nas
Common
Black Thought
Andre 3000

The GOAT is Rakim hands down. He is the only person I would say has a solidified top 5 spot. Big Daddy Kane and Kool G aren’t far behind
