The Hawai’i Institute for Human Rights is encouraging the island of Maui to support an award winning Sundance Film, The Fields of Fuel, this Sunday at the Maui Film Festival.

To continue the conversation from our 8th Annual Ecological Ethics / Activism / Justice Sustainability Summit, the Fields of Fuel film provides great story of one citizens attempt to save the planet one tank at a time. The film focuses on the simple act of changing our fuel can change our world.

HIHR met the mother of the filmmaker at the United Nations Association event this weekend. She along with Joshua will be on Maui this week and also speak at the film.

There is an opportunity to organize a Parade of Biofuel Vehicles to the film showing on Sunday. If you drive your alternative fuel vehicle you will be able to attend the film for free and also sends a message of our commitment to positive ecological social change. If you are interested in volunteering to pass out information earlier in the week it is also possible.

Please email if you can drive an alternative fuel vehicle and we will get you your pass.

Visit Fields of Fuel website this week. http://www.fieldsoffuel.com
