The Griffith University Society for Skeptics and Freethinkers invite you all to hear our first guest speaker of the year, Richard Saunders, Vice President of Australian Skeptics and founder of Mystery Investigators.

Richard’s presentation is the same one that he will give at James Randi’s Amazing Meeting 6 in Los Vegas this June, sharing the floor with Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson, PZ Myers, Matthew Chapman, and Sharon Begley, Phil Plait (the Bad Astronomer), Penn & Teller, Dr. Richard Wiseman, Dr. Michael Shermer, Adam Savage (from the Mythbusters), Steve Novella, and many more!

Admission is free for members of the GUSSF and a gold coin donation is all that is asked of anyone else who would like to come so feel free to invite/coerce/ drag as many people as you like both from on campus and of course the wider community, the more the merrier!

About Richard Saunders

Richard is Vice President of Australian Skeptics38 and founder of Mystery Investigators39. He has appeared on Channel Nine’s A Current Affair and Channel Seven’s Sunrise program multiple times in his role as a skeptic, debunking such topics as so called psychic detectives, ghosts, crop circles and more.

Each Wednesday night following, we will have a meeting with round table discussions, watch movies, talks and/or presentations, whatever we want to do. I also have a few more speakers lined up, and now have stuff to give away, and depending on feedback I would like to get a “Skeptics in the Pub” type social thing going, any excuse for a drink I know…. It’s a great time to be rational!
