I just bought a Dale Jr car and was playing with it with my nephew, when it seems like the motor gear went out on it. (the motor runs strong but you can hear it grinding the gear) Does anyone know where you can get parts for these? I went to the teamup-usa.com site but doesn’t seem to let you go to parts only manuels and such. I also want to get new tires for it. We were loving it when it ran, wicked fast LOL. We didn’t run it into anything but we did get it second hand, so don’t know what past owner did to it. I could use any advice I can get. If we can fix it, we are planning on getting new shell and everything. Got a great deal on it, and would love to keep it! LOL thanks and if get it back up and running right I’ll post pictures, since I’m planning on making my brother love me and make it into a Jale Jarrett car just for him LOL (gee think I could make it into the truck????)
thanx

Depending which version of the Dale jr you have you MIGHT be able to get a shell.
see Dale Jr was done 7 different times and 3 shells are NO LONGER being made... they are:
Dale Jr "Chance 2 Racing" or JR Logo car (for the Foam Padded Base version)...will NOT fit on a Hobby Grade chassis
Dale Jr "Wheat Crest" (for the Foam Padded Base version)...will NOT fit on a Hobby Grade chassis
Dale Jr "Wheat Crest" Hobby Grade verision NOT BEING made anymore
Dale Jr "Budweiser" Hobby Grade version, do NOT wait to get your spare shells. they are NOT BEING made anymore

Hello all, I was wondering if it was possible to make a basic into a digital proportional with out putting hobby store electronics in it? If hobby store electronics are the only option , who out there makes something that will handle 12v? I know there are lithium speed controllers out there but i dont know if the car in this case will handle that? The only reason i bring this idea up is , simply that its hard to control.
Any help getting pointed in the right direction will be appreciated
Thanks in advance
Shawn

hello again, does anybody outhere in the big www. make a 1/6th scale body other than the one manufactured for the car as a stock replacement? They seem a little brittle.

Not that I know of. This is the main reason Team-Up upgraded te chassis to drive like a real car.
Pretty tough to do since that base version chassis made to do only what it was designed for.
Easier to get a hobby grade car.

ok thanks i figure thats what would be said. I finally got a charger that will charge the battery in less then 10-12 hrs. Has anybody ever built a battery for this car? I know you can build them for the other scale cars. I was thinking of building a pack with some more punch.
p.s. i plan to buy a hobby grade but i want to see what they come out with for the new style car.
