Hello, friends!
There’s a new Harmonic Capo in town... just for classical guitars. It is NOT FOR SALE yet, so don’t ask me. I am looking for a small number of beta testers who can test the new design on as many instruments as possible.
It is designed to attach at (or even above) the neck joint. I’ve used it successfully at the 19th fret of my Martin D16, but it’s really intended to attach at the 12th fret on guitars with short necks or with neck joints that interfere with the strap used by the standard Harmonic Capo.
If you’re interested, and you have access to multiple classical guitars, please send me a message with your mailing address. This offer is strictly on a first-come-first-served basis. For those of you that become beta testers, I won’t charge you for your prototype capo, but I will expect detailed feedback.
Thanks!

Bob, I just started using the HC on my Guild acoustic- it almost doesn’t stay in place, as the neck gets thicker right at the 12th fret. Perhaps your new model would be of use here?
I’d be glad to compare & contrast the capos, as other players may have similar guitars on which the Harmonic ’almost’ doesn’t fit.

Hi Bob,
I was looking at your Harmonic Capo website. I Have checked my guitars and found that most of them have the 12th fret right at the neck joint. Consequently, I have not bought one of your capos. I was pleased to see that you have a prototype for a classical capo. If you are still looking for beta testers I would like to participate. I have many different types of guitars so I could give you a variety of results.
Thanks,
Bill Vincent

Hi, Hank.
I have been getting reports similar to this. Apparently some guitars just have unusually large neck joints.
The new capo design might help you, but I’m thinking you might also benefit from having a slightly longer strap on your current capo. I’m traveling this week, but when I get back home, I’ll send you a new strap to try.

Hi, Bill.
I’m getting mixed reviews from my beta testers on the "first generation" classical harmonic capo. I think the current design is going to need some adjustments, so I’m not sending out any more until I’ve addressed some of the issues reported so far.
Please send me a private message with your mailing address and I’ll send you one as soon as I have something ready to test.
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
-Bob
