Ok. So i’ve read this series four times now. It has been one of the best series i’ve ever read. And I was reciently checking out the movie thats being made on this series. And I have to say i’m truely disapointed. The cast is all wrong. John C. Rielly is playing Larten Crepsley, Patrick Fugit is rumored to be playing Evra Von/Snake Boy, Ken Wantanabe is playing Mr. Tall, and everyone knows Debbie Hemlock right? Well she’s being played by a white girl. Now i’m in no way racist, prejudice, or sexist. But thats just wrong. It says for a fact that she’s a black girl in the 8th book. So im not sure how this movie will turn out, but from what I can see, it will butcher the Cirque du Freak series.

Yeah thats right but they have Sam Grest (Ginger Kid) Allright and the actor for steve and darren look ok But to bad Darren Shan the author cannot get that fully involved with the movie :’( And did you know they have Cormac Limbs as a Girl!! Wtf???

maybe the movie isn’t worth seeing if the characters won’t be true to the books.

I don’t know, i’ll probably go see it, even if it looks horrible. haha.

WTF!? Cormic Limbs as a girl? Holy FUCK! why... thats really reatarded... I think they butchered this movie even before its released.. i mean cmon.. 3 books 1 movie... thats bull

I am still debating on whether to see it or not. When they do horrible on making the movie it can ruin the book. I think that John C. Rielly was one of the worst people to pick to play Mr. Creepsly. That is not who I invisioned at all when reading the books. That alone ruined it for me.
And since they are taking the first three books and turning them into one movie they have to skip out on alot of the plots. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out as awful as when they did it to A Series of Unfortunate Events.

exactly what were they thinking when they made him Mr. Crepsley they might as well put will ferrell for all I care I hope he doesnt ruin this.

It sucks when people change things for movies from books.It takes away from the feeling of the books.

I don’t like the choices they made. Expecially for Debbie/Debby (however you spell it). She is NOT white so wtf? Why the white chick? And the choice for Mr.Crepsley. Stupid. If he doesn’t have orange hair I will be pissed. This is why I hate it when stupid people think they can make money off of a good book by messing with it in a movie. It’s dumb. But I guess that’s life. I don’t really get a choice in what they do. None of us do. But oh well. I’m contradicting myself but I’m probably going to see it anyway.

i just found this group and saw this post. thought i would share my experience with the movie. I just recently worked on the set as a featured extra. the movie is being filmed in new orleans. i filmed for 5 days. 4 with Josh (steve) and Chris (Daren) and one with Micheal Cerverus (Mr. Tiny) i have read the script and the only major difference is that the spider is released at the boy’s school and not in the bedroom. There is a HUGE chase scene wheere the spider gets loose inbetween 2 classes and the whole school freaks out.

and just so you know im not B.S.ing you guys
