A Boston filmmaker named David Fresina posted a message in another topic about a documentary he aims to make on the PSA crash of 1978. I've asked him to repost his message here, because I think this needs to be a topic of its own.

Hello David

Thank you for letting me use your Myspace site to discuss the ducumentary I am producing about the 1978 PSA plane crash in San Diego.

I have met some great people through my research and I am looking forward to meeting many of them in person including yourself when I am in San Diego the weekend of March 29, 2008.

I am still searching for persons connected to the crash including Fire and Police responders, former PSA employees, Bystanders, Eyewitnesess, News Reporters, and family members of the crash victims.

I am also looking for film footage of the crash site and aftermath.

Please respond to specwrite@aol.com for all inquiries.

Thanks again,

Dave Fresina

Dave:

Ordinarily I wouldn’t allow a non-Saints alum into this group, but because this topic did directly affect a lot of Saintsmen, I let you join.

I was not a major participant in the proceedings of that terrible day, but I was on the scene to witness the aftermath from about noon until 6:30 or 7 p.m.

Then I went back to the office of the "Southern Cross" newspaper, where I stayed up all night developing three rolls of film, printing about a dozen photos, and writing two articles.

Please tell us more about your project and about yourself, Dave.

St. Augustine High School played a major part on that horrible day, so it’s important that we trust you and believe in what you are doing, if you want our participation.

I know that there is at least one person in this group who was helping on the floor of the gym that day, and almost everyone here could point you in other directions that would be useful to you.

Whether we actually were there at Saints on that day in 1978 or not, the story is a part of all of our lives, because we are Saintsmen.

David
