Hey guys - did this on LJ too, and have cross posted to the other large LI list. If you see cheap gas selling for at least ten cents (and preferably more) below average, please reply to this. There are a lot of people in this group - I'm hoping this will benefit a few people.

The HESS on 83 near the LIE is still selling at $2.80 a gallon.

yeah i am glad i got gas at 2.75 before it went up...... We got to do something about these rediculous gas prices. What happened to the good old days when people used to protest such atroscities.

There is a gas station on the corner of Wellwood ave and Rt 109 in Lindenhurst that has reg unleaded for $3.18.

I said that once gas gets to $3 a gallon, I'll stop driving. So, here now starts my protesting.

Oh, and when I was coming home last night gas at the Exxon on No. Ocean and the Expressway was $2.79. Now, it's $3.39. Bullshit.

mobil in glen cove got gas for 3.59 for 87 and sunoco next door to it has it for 2.79....so i guess im gonna choose.....sunoco

B) The South was wrecked by a Hurricaine which destroyed so much of our oil supply.

Basically we're screwed unless the gov't puts a cap on gas prices.

Shell in Bay Shore on Bay Shore RD. acrossed from the Peter Pan Diner is at $3.07 cheapest I've seen around my area

Excuse my expression that is bullshit. There is price fixing going on from the gas company's because prices are jumping up way to fast overnight come on. If Katrina realy was the cause you would should of took a week for gas company to raise there gas not overnight. I wish there was a way we can send a message to these gas station that were not going to take there crap anymore.

Believe it or not the Hamptons is the lowest I've seen. I live in Shirley and it was 3.24 2 nights ago then yesterday morning 3.29 then by last night 3.45 now when I went to work this morning it was 3.65 and Since I work in bridghampton I checked all the gas stations out here and the highest was 3.39 for 89 I also saw 3.05 and 3.08 for 89 and 2.95 for 87.
