1) During the Civil War Democrats wished to keep slavery and Republicans opposed it.
2)Poverty: I believe this falls in the hand of Americans paying taxes, largely we pay taxes to support our government, but when it is used to support the non-working class why should a hard working employees money be put in the pockets of lazy Americans. There are many jobs listed in newspapers, online and many other sources so someone may not say that they can't find a job.
3) I do not support the war, but many Republicans do.....
4)Do not think for one moment Republicans are trying to raise taxes, i know a lot try and lower them especially the rich, because they want to protect their money, why should someone who went to college or just plain works hard for their money have their money taken from them to give someone welfare and food stamps.
5) Border issue is ridiculous, we should close the border from illegals coming over. Yes a lot of illegals are filling unwanted jobs, but that takes away from a lot of other 1st class citizens, which goes back to poverty and jobs. Also why should someone who waits years to become a legal citizen be rejected for all the illegals currently in or coming to America...

It Is True what you said about poverty, the welfare system is crap just a way for whiney lazy americans to cheat the government and tax paying citizens.Why would you not support the war? If it wasn’t for the terroist would be heve killing more inocent Americans.
