I agree and am also very disappointed about the 12 pm cutoff... I see now where it says the cutoff was 12 pm in very fine print at the top of the page, but that is not written in the OFFICIAL rules- and I didn't see that on the page until 8 pm today. Who ends a contest at 12 noon? I've never heard of that before...

Seriously MySpace/KRAFT, if the time wasn't stated in the OFFICIAL RULES, shouldn't you let those of us who spent HOURS and HOURS on our videos, thinking we had until the end of the 12th, enter?? Come on. Please. Admit the mistake and extend the submissions until the end of the 13th. It's only fair.

Absolutely.
I understand Kraft's dilemma: if they extend the contest, those who entered by noon on November 12 (which is how the rule should have been stated) will feel that people who didn't follow the rules (like me) were given an unfair advantage.
In the interest of fairness, I hope there's a Solomon at Kraft who can work a fair solution.
The problem stems from Kraft's own imprecise wording of the contest rules. Please open another window for submissions.
I"m no Solomon, but this is what I would do: take the people who submitted on time and pick the promised number of entries to go to the next round. Open a 24 hour window for new submissions and pick two entries from those submissions to go to the next round. It wont' hurt anyone for two extra commercials to be posted for the public to vote. No one is hurt and everyone feels like they got a fair chance.

The problem is that the official rules contradict the small print that was on the front page... Even if I had seen that "12 pm" I probably would have misread it as 12 am.

Heinz did a contest on youtube and had a similar mishap- their entry process confused many people. Heinz did the right thing by having another contest which starts in Dec. I hope Kraft follows suit... (not have another contest, just let those of us who got our entries in on Nov. 12 into the contest PLEASE!)

Not fair at all! . I worked all weekend on my spot and half of Monday. Then when I went to post it at 7:00pm It was over. My understanding from the official rules was that we could submit our video through 11/12/07. That normally means midnight. Please let us upload our spots!!!!!

Yeah I didn't really have any trouble understanding the rules as well. It said 12pm PST. That means noon, no two ways around that. I do feel for those who've worked hard on their submissions and didn't get to enter though but really the only person you can blame is yourself. It flat out said "12pm PST..."

I got mine in last minute. I actually made mine an hr and a half before the deadline ha. It's really only about 50% finished but you can get the gist. I almost made the same mistake as most and assumed it ended at 12am Midnight but luckily I checked just in case cuz ya never know. You always have to check fine print on contests like these. You can never assume.
