The nationally recognised POPPINS Community Cafés are coming to Banwell Village Hall on 5 March 2008, offering help and support on a variety of issues, from housing to education.

As well as information about how to get the most from local services, such as those offered by North Somerset Council, Citizens’ Advice Bureau, and Age Concern, there will also be opportunities to talk to local police and councillors, plus there will be refreshments and fun activities.

The community cafés have been taking place in various venues across North Somerset over the last few months and were recently singled out for national praise by the Government’s Improvement and Development Agency for their impact in helping “hard to reach” groups access local services.
