is any bodys elses sidekick not showing that and showing the Phone instead. my internet is not working or my IM. what do i do?

try turning the phone off and on again

turn it off and wait 5 minutes then turn it on and wait 5 minutes again if it doesnt work call custmer service

IF NONE OF THAT WORKS AND YOU JUST HAVE THE LITTLE PHONE ICON ON YOUR PHONE, THEN THAT MEANS THAT YOU DONT HAVE SERVICE ( YOU CAN STILL RECEIVE CALLS AND TEXT MESSAGES) BUT YOU DONT HAVE THE SIDEKICK SERVICE.

that means the internet is down in your area....

the sidekick runs off a server....i usually, if a customer comes in saying they don’t have the G7 show, i call our district service man....i ask if he knows about the outage in that particular area and if he does he will let me know what is going on...if he doesnt he will take a trip to that location and fix the problem....


it just means the internet is down in your area and you cant access things that run off the server....


you may notice that in some cases your texts disappear or don’t stay in your box, or your address book doesnt have all the numbers or your purchased items from the catalogue arent there.....don’t freak out bc they will all comeback soon as your G7 appears again......


hope that helps....but yea next time (if you arent having this problem) go into a tmobile store or call and ask if tehy are aware of an outage and if not they will get on it....in philly thats what we do so im assuming its like that in other places

just try to see how many bars of signal do u see? and check in the screen if u see one dot or two dots or a seven, u may need the data soc for that work, if u have it call the tech care, iam sure that they are gonna to have an answer for u1

You could just turn your phone on airplane mode, turns the wireless off so it disconnects you from the server and then turn it back on to see if you get a better connection

Danger, a subsidiary of Microsoft, and T-Mobile regret any inconveniences experienced by Sidekick customers as a result of a technical issue. This will limit customer access to data services but it will not affect phone or texting capabilities. We are working with Danger to resolve the issue and hope to have things restored to normal soon. mine hasnt had the G since yesterday morning. ive turned it off about 5 times, taken out the battery etc.. i still have no G. soooo aggrevating!!!

Danger is down it is global it affect people use sidekick T-Mobile is very sorry they are trying fix it possible they don’t know when it will fixed. I know it frustrating but it won’t happen a lot.

yeah, i have the lx.
and it’s been acting weird lately.

obviously i’m not getting the G7.
and it wont alert me when i get a text.
it wont light up, or vibrate.
&
it wont let me add or delete contacts.

This is the 4th day now and its pissing me off so bad!!
will someone post when there’s is working again????
