I just received the first 12 markers from my dad's Y test. He is a R1B1C. Would you be able to tell me how to read the matches page? I utilized FTDNA (and Ancestry.com for that matter) and there are 30 matches. Should I wait until the other markers are calculated? There were only 3 of the 30 that posted a GEDCOM. I just finished reading "Trace your roots with DNA" and do not understand the "How" to continue my study.

I know this is late and more than likely you will never see it, but just incase.
Everybody who has shown to be a Match, you have their email address. Write them and see where you are connected. You will probably meet some distant cousins that way!!
