I like Jonathan, but I really don't think he's that good of a hair stylist..Don't get me wrong he does do good jobs, but I'm just not feelin' some of his techniques...
P.S.
I think he's a fuckin' faggot.

I believe that this industry is about creativity and friendliness. I think that the ability to talk to people is more than half your job. The other half is making your client feel like a million bucks. Now however you get those things accomplished, you're doing your job. As far as his techniques all being the same: well it's my belief that you find what works for you and you do it. To each his own, right?
And i think it's really uncouth and unprofessional to be putting down someone, anyone, in the industry. Is that how you're gonna make all your money ( "Let me do your hair, cause everyone else sucks.") Well you're not gonna make very much money (or respect) that way. And furthur more, lets see you open two salons, get your own show, start your own product line, and get paid big bucks to so celeb's hair. Once that happens then you can talk all the shit you want. But until then take in all that you can and disregard what you don't. It's as simple as that. But you will not get anywhere by putting down others.

I know I don't hold a grain of salt to Jonathan, but what i've learned so far is that most techniques of cutting hair are the same. But like Allison said, it's all in what works best for you.

All haircutting techniques are the same. The hair is cut in angles of 180, 90, and 45 degrees. It really doesn't matter how you go about it just as long as you have those degrees.

I think that out off what I have been seing.. That it's the same hair<myspace>style</myspace> he give to the customers! And the prices! Oh my! I can get a much more awesome hair<myspace>style</myspace> here in Denmark, for much less! It's so ridiculously! But people can do what they want with their own money!
However, the show is fun fun fun funny!

Really doing good hair is mostly about the styling...you can have the same haircut and <myspace>style</myspace> it 5 different ways and it will look totally different each time...but the one girl was right it is about selling yourself...if you do a haircut...even if it is the same the goal is to sell yourself and that haircut to your client because some poeple may think it's atrocious but as long as you feed them enough bs and they like the cut, then you don't have anything to worry about...as far as zach goes...unless you know things about haircutting, please don't comment and get all these hairdressers bent out of shape...because for one it takes a long time to learn even one part of the skill to do good hair, secondly, his haircuts are sought after and the only reason he does the same haircut on everyone is because that is his signature haircut...people come to him to get that cut whether it is a repeat or not...thats why he can charge that much money...it's called supply and demand...third it doesn't really matter what kind of hair he does, because they like it...now unless they are banging down your door and telling you their hair sucks then keep your trap shut!

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I do think that Jonathon is very talented, and the techniques he uses work well for he and his staff. Of course, what may work for one person, may not work for the next. I think that you can take what you like from his techniques, and discard what you dont... everyone has something to teach and/or learn in this industry.
