It's finally here, the day we've all been waiting for. The race truck is here and ready to meet the people who will prepare it, work on it, and drive it. The timing is almost poetic, as the 2007 Baja 1000 starts this Tuesday, meaning the 2008 1000, the year we will be racing, will be in exactly one year.

To celebrate the occasion, we are having a meeting and party on Sunday, Dec 2 at 172 Princeton St in Springfield, MA. Meeting starts at 3 PM. This is the chance to meet the truck, meet the other crew members, and overall get a feel for what's to come. We will also be installing the goodies sent to us by our sponsor K&N Filters, watching Dust To Glory (a documentary on the Baja 1000), watching footage and looking at photos from this year's Baja 1000 (and seeing how our friends from Kovach Racing and RPM Off Road did), catching up on the latest sponsor news, and, to wrap everything up, a little competitive video game action. A football fan? Don't worry, we've got you covered as we will have TVs showing the games on both CBS and FOX.

There will be refreshments and, depending on turnout, we will be ordering pizza and hot wings. We ask that everyone who intends to eat either bring food/beverage or $5 to help pay for the pizzas.

If you have friends that enjoy themselves a little off roading, know a thing or two about turning a wrench, or simply might be interested in being a part of the project, don't hesitate to drag them along. We're firm believers in that old "the more the merrier" saying.

We will have extra parking available at 361 St James Ave. It's a large grass lot that I'm sure you won't be able to miss.
