I have just posted an article about Zambia. You know there has been a heated debate about genetically modified foods in Africa. Should Africa embrace genetically modified foods? What do you this guys?

There is just so much going on and so much growth, it is incredble to see how the simplest of organisms, harnessed in the correct way, can change the world. Although some are in it to pillage, and yes money always plays a factor in the scientific world, I am purely doing it out of interest and I find that the deeper I go into the rabbit hole, the more and more it holds me there. Max Respect for biotech. Monsanto ISNT Monsatan...they just did what they needed to do to get ahead. LoL. I have had the privelige of working with a professor who has found a promoter which localizes gene expression to the anther of arabidopsis thaliana, hopefully standing among geniuses will rub off on me and give me some ideas.
Check out this abstract of his work:

Well, it's interesting to see how biotech is making follies in agriculture and the pharmaceutical industry. Biotech in agriculture has really changed the world. Scientists have been able to come up with crops that resist herbicides and pesticides. We also have drought-resistant crops. The fact that about 59% of corn and soy currently being grown in the U.S. is genetically modified attests to their popularity. Consider visiting my blog - http://www.gmoafrica.org/

Hi guys! I am a Biotech student. I personally find it fascinating to manipulate things for a better, and more positive outcome. (crops, cells, vaccines, etc.)
I know there are lots of moral issues and stuff, so there is my very very general opinion.

I also would really like to do disease research, specifically genetic diseases. Is anyone else interested in that, or going into that field É

Biotechnology! why not? The research and clinical studies that haunt us on a daily basis of course we need to be up to date! Love to see the customers request NEW technology NEW research AND NEW concepts to the ever changing system we live in.

I have been in the Pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and it all ends up that nothing more exciting then BIOTECHNOLOGY.

Present working as a Q.A. auditor makes me proud to see that SOMEONE DOES GIVE A DAMN of what is out there....

let the SCIENCE BE...our everyday language...its there. Why not acknowledge the fact that we are BIO.....well...

Let it B.
