The company I work for had an visitor from Texas recently. As we through downtown Bangor, he remarked how it was nice to see such an active downtown area. We, residents of greater Bangor, may have a more negative view of Downtown Bangor than what is actually there. We see what needs improvement, what could be better, or what we think should be there. This man has seen downtowns left completely barren after a highway bypass was built. To him, downtown Bangor was active. Perhaps we all need to step back and see the Bangor area from another prespective.
