so i have been thinking about going bald for awhile now.there are a couple reasons why,but i'll go into that some other time.i have some questions.

has anyone had a hard time getting a job because you were bald?

you know how you get little bumps on your head or little dry patches, can you see them when you shave your head?

do you ever get negative reactions from anyone?

i know i am still gonnashave my head, i am just waiting for the right time, and i do really need a job and i dont want it to interfere, so i might wait till after i get a job hahahaha

My wife has shaved her head twice over the past year. She is 48 and has two girls aged 21 and 25. It is something she had wanted to do for many years. She has had no trouble job wise at all. most of the reaction she has gotten has been positive. The exception being people who think she has cancer. If it's something you want to do you should do it. Perhaps doing one of the cancer shaves for a group such as St Baldricks raising money for cancer research and also donating your hair to a group that makes wigs would be sufficiant reason. In any event there is no rush to decide.

I waited until I had enough money for a quality wig. There is definitely a double standard when it comes to women shaving there heads...at least in America. Also depends on what you want to do for a living. Believe me, I wish I could find a job that I could get away with not wearing the wig...and actually make enough money to live on.

I do believe it depends on the job.

When I was bald I loved wigs, hell even when I have hair I love wigs.

You needn’t get a two hundred dollar wig for it to look good either.
I’ve found excellent wigs for about forty dollars.

Of course, make sure it looks real.
I suggest sticking to a short length.
Some people can pass with long wigs but if you’re knew at finding your wig look, stick to short length at first.
Unless you can really rock that long wig.

Good luck!
