She rubbed her forehead under her beak-helmet. It was night, and the only bots in the base were herself, Rhinox and Cheetor.

"Jagna to Maximal base. Rhinox, do you read me?"

'Hello, Jagna. It's Rhinox here, Cheetor's said he's been missing you.

"That's sweet. Tell him I miss him too."

Air Razor chuckled as she watched Cheetor’s optics widen and he turned away, embarrassed.

She looked at the console confusedly as she heard her feline friend say,

"Rhinox? Rhino................
---

"What happened, Rhinox? Did we get cut off?" She didn’t hear herself what ‘Substance X’ was, as she was distracted by Jag’s voice.

Things had been very strange around here lately. The Predacons had been unusually quiet, they had new allies from the future, and they were coming in the morning…

Good thing, though. With three of their units away (Optimus, Rattrap and Jagna) and Sarah gone too for a whole day, anything could happen.

Air Razor got up and walked over to Rhinox, beckoning Cheetor for back-up in case she needed help persuading Big Green to answer her next question.

”So, Big Guy….what is Substance X, anyway?” She gave him a look that said, I’m not going anywhere without an answer, and smiled cheekily at him.

((Yay! Let's play!!))

Sarah:
"Oh hey OPtimus! I was about to see if your awake!"

"Good morning Sarah, I trust if you're coming to wake me up you're ready to go home..."

He watched her amusedly as she ran off to wake the others.

"Where do humans assemble in the morning? Ah, es, mess hall."

Without further ado, he made his way to the cafeteria to await his human companions.

He felt something on his nose. He grumbled, "Meeehhh, five more minutes..."

It was the very sudden, "Gah!" and something incomprehensible (and probably rude) from Rattrap that woke him up. Sarah was poking Jag and had evidentaly grabbed his conk for some rason.

"What time is it, kid?" He took a look at his watch, groaned, and said, "Just tell the General I'm not there because time is gowing slower..."

"Amen to dat..." Rattrap concurred.

Jag stretched her long limbs and unwrapped her tail from around her waist. She did not have a good night's rest. Her mind was still troubled from last night.

"Well, I guess we'd better take the humans to procure nourishment, eh 'Trap?" She transformed into beast mode, as did Rattrap, and followed O'Neill out of the door.

They made heir own way after Sarah ran off in the direction of Teal'c's quarters.

Optimus and Daniel Jackson were stiiting at a large table in the cafeteria, both with their noses in some sort of book.

"Mornin, boys!" said Jag, leaping up next to Daniel, tickling his cheek with her whiskers.

Rhinox:
'I'll explain everything about substance x later, right now we have to keep on a high alert and hope that everything is ok at the SGC. With Primal out of the picture for reasons still unknown we need to be ready for anything.'

She gave him her baby face, but evidenally it was failing.

She sighed and turned to Cheetor.

"They should be here in a few hourse, Apparently the time lag is a bit iffy. I'm gonna hit the skies, make my way to meet them. I'll see you two later!"

She winked and pressed the button that opened the roof hatch.

"BEAST MODE!"

She spread her elegant wings and soared out of the Maximal base and headed towards the secret meeting place.

McKay hastened his escape and thought he heard a strange sound behind him.
He turned around quickly and saw a small body of water(an inch or so deep) that was streaming quickly behind him, he thought it was strange but decided to make his way upwards toward the control room.

He always assumed that the control room would always be on the upper most deck due to the pyramid design it would be an ideal place for the observation area and the sensor array.

He heard an explosion on a lower deck.

'No wonder I haven't seen many guards, ' he thought,

'They're obviously pre-occupied with whatever is happening down below.

He heard voices coming from the general area of the control room and decided to make a detour towards the nearest possible service hatchway to hide........

Rhinox quickly set apon himself the task of boosting the time dilation sequencers so that he might be able to get a message through to Optimus by piggy-backing the original previous transmissions and using them as a guide line for sending a new transmission that would be able to bypass the stargate, it would take a while to do it though.
He looked up to see Airazor still standing there, he sympathised with her and didn't like her being kept in the dark,

'Don't worry about substance x, I'll explian all about it once I've got a signal through to Optimus.'

He then gave a reassuring smile to appease her.

Sarah:
"HEY GUYS!!!"

Jack winced. "Too loud..." he groaned at Sarah.

He stared at the lunchlady (who took a quick lunge at Rattrap for some reason) as she came to their table for the first time ever. "Oh, sure, coz the robots are here NOW we et special treatment..." He was glad she was half deaf...

The lunchlady had left the Maximals a tankard each of black oil and a small glowing cube. They got excited and gobbled it down, much to his disgust, and Daniel's.

They were joined by Carter alrady in gear.

"Why aren't you ready? We're leaving in like, a half an hour!"

"Carter, it's not for an hour and a half..."

Then the two words that escaped her mouth left everyone's nerves shooting out in differet directions: Daylight Savings....

((just a bit of comedy there ^^))

Finally, they were all in the Embarkation Room. ALL of them...

SG-1, SGs 9 - 13, Sarah, Jagna, Rattrap and Optimus. They stood in fron of the Stargate, the visitors still amazed by the awesomeness of the vortex.

((skip ahead to passing through. i sooooo cannot be arsed right now. too many characters))

Air Razor had begun circling upside-down in the air. She forgot just how confusing the lag was...

She did not realise it, but she had actually managed to drift off a least 30m away from the meeting spot, and so was surprised when she suddenly saw a pack of advanced anthropoids marching into a clearing.

She nearly fell out of the sky...

"Optimus! Guys!" She flew towards them all, but aimed for Jag, whom she hadn't seen for many months now, and knocked her flat against her back against a tree.

The two girls laughed, and went to greet the others.

"Maximals, guests, let's go home..."

((lalala....met's meet people back at base, basically...

thts it for tonight. im bushed. una! u said ud get ur bro to join! and where is crystal?! she said she'd help! waaah!

Dr McKay overheard a conversation between some Goa'uld whilst he hid in the duct,

'Krephia, Tor'u alras^'ed!'

'We have insufficient power reserves to use the teleport rings again unless we deactivate the sarcophagus emittors'

'We must get rid of that creature before it destoys the whole ship! Do it!'

'Yes my master'

'I have waited almost an eternity to wreak my revenge, they shall pay for my imprisonment, they shall all pay!!'

'Rhinox, were coming through the gate now.'

'What? Is everything OK? I feared the worst when the comms got cut off'

'It's alright, Rhinox, it was just a malfunction with the DHD.'

'Allright, I'll start beaming you all through now.'

((Sorry this has taken so long guys. I’ve had a busy week >.< Let's see if we can keep this going! *hint hint*))

Sarah:
"Hey Airazor what's up"

Air Razor smiled at her little companion.

"Hello, there Blondie, " she said, and winked.

As they all made thier way back to base, Air Razor amused herself by swooping in amongst the human troops, giving them a jump each time. This greaty amused Jack.

"They need a little shaking up every now and then...keeps 'em on their toes." He nudged Optimus, who did not seem to notice. Jack looked back at Teal'c, whose expression remained the same, but there was definately a trace of discomfort in those eyebrows. Neither of tem felt comfortable about their alternate mission.

Outside the base, the SG teams stood in groups, and the Maximals who had been assigned to each stood in another.

Optimus stood in front of his Maximals, and Jack in front of his troops. "You know your mission, guys...jus do it"

"All right, team. You've been given the basic run-down, and you all have your assigned posts.

Dinobot, you're to go with SG-9. Rattrap, SG-10. Cheetor, you're to accompany SG-11. Air Razor, Tiagtron, with Sgs -12 and 13.

That leaves Jagna to go with SG-1, as per usual. And seeing as Jackson and Carter will be staying with Rhinox and assisting him with his research, Sarah and I will accompany them also."

Said Maximals joined their designated teams. Every member of SG-9 shuddered as Dinobot approached them.

"Allright, you monkeys, no offense Primal, radio in at 1500 hours. Disembark, God Speed and al that jazz. Get going."

He turned to watch Sam and Daniel exitedly approached the elevator to the Maximal base.

"So..." he said, turning to the Maximals and Sarah, "...where are we headed?"

Primal chuckled, a little uncomfortably. "Rhinox is going to communicate with every team once we reach a certain point byond the base. He'll tell us where to go exactly. Please excuse me, I need to speak with him quickly..."

'Hello Optimus, I got a lot of news for ya that you aren't going to like. Substance x is in fact a new form of transformer technology that has emerged from this planet and utilises the hightened energon levels to speed up it's evolution, '

Rhinox pulled out a piece that he'd been keeping with himself,

'The potential for this new technology is limitless and we have to get as much of it as we can away from the prying hands of the Predaconians((sounds cool, huh)).'

'I'm still running some tests but I think it's best to keep this stuff away from the humans, they can't be trusted with this level of technology'

'So how's it hanging Optimus? As the humans would say.'

Optimus managed to get to Rhinox before Daniel or Sam. She was fascinated by the elevator's mechanisms, for some obscure reason.

Rhinox:
'Hello Optimus, I got a lot of news for ya that you aren't going to like. Substance x is in fact a new form of transformer technology that has emerged from this planet and utilises the hightened energon levels to speed up it's evolution, '

"How is that possible? It can't have come directly from this planet...it must be a similar scenario to the amount of energon here. Hm...how fast are we talking?"

'The potential for this new technology is limitless and we have to get as much of it as we can away from the prying hands of the Predaconians.'

"Prime. That should be easy, " commented the boss monkey, sarcastucally. He added, "Nice new nickname, I hope it cathes on." He patted his large friend on the shoulder.

'I'm still running some tests but I think it's best to keep this stuff away from the humans, they can't be trusted with this level of technology'

"You think so too, huh? But can WE even be trusted with such superior technology?

Problem is, I think the humans know about it. Just don't let on what you know. I need to really think this through..." He sighed, and raised his eyes at his comrades next question:

'So how's it hanging Optimus? As the humans would say.'

He forced a light chuckle, and replied, "Well Rhinox, as the humans might say: I've been better." He turned as Carter and Jackson finally entered the Maximal base. Though they had been here a few times before, they were still awestruck by the technology. To be honest, the Axalon and its technology was kids' stuff to Transformers. Poor, deprived anthrpoids. Inexperience with alien technology was another reason Optimus Primal had decided to keep the mystery of Substance X a secret, for now.

His attention was then drawn to his com-link.

"Jagna to Optimus. Ready when you are."

She sounded fine, but Optimus could sense the discomfort. He felt it too.

"On my way, Jagna. Start heading out west-bound. I'll be with you shortly."

He turned to Rhinox.

"Start sending out those co-ordinates. Our teams will need to know where they're going..." he looked around to se Carter and Daniel eyeing the console, leaned in a little further to his green friend and whispered, "Hide that thing on your person. If you can, let me know about anything new...

Prime jets, ON!"

'Hey, there sweetie!'

The nurse who had recently met Sarah in the infirmary was excited to see her new friend again.

'I'm so glad to get out of that stuffy ward, it's depressing working under a mountain which has no windows or scenery.
By the way I never got a chance to introduce myself, my name's Jenny Joyce, most folks call me nurse Joy but you can call me anything you like, my little sweetie pie.'

Joyce gave a big smile and was overjoyed to see someone who wouldn't ogle at her and act all awkward like all the male personnel at the base would.

'I think I'm on your team with my Mr Mousey, um....where is he anyway? Ooops I totally forgot to ask you your name, I'm such an airhead at times'

She giggled at her sillyness.

ON THAT NOTE: we shall be following SG-1 ONLY, to keep things exciting but simple.

I see we have an extra person with us (Primus, could you possibly have her sneak in somehow? ie she has already told Sarah that she has been assigned, but she could sweet talk her way in...perhaps she came to pre-historic earth by means of another stargate system? coz no offense to Joy, but who brings a nurse? y'know what? her and jack will have a little 'talk....we'll see where it goes from there, k?)

What else was i going to say? o ya, if its ok with everyone concerned, we dont have to wait our turn if its not necessary. eg, an actual conversation between characters. this is the one exeption, gottit?

bah....i gtg now. off to see sound of music! ^^))
