Ladies just what I thought would happen has happened. Mike's case
has caused a racial divide amongst blacks and whites. While there
are some white folks that are choosing not to turn their backs on
Mike and let due process run its course, there are others who are
acting like they just won the lottery and the man has already been
convicted. I have been blogging my ass off this past week hitting
folks with the facts.

Fact 1. Mike Vick cannot play football however, Kobe was allowed to
play while he was on trial for a rape charge. Eventhough some of
the women's rights groups protested.

Fact 2. Nike cancelled its relationship with Kobe when he was
charged, however, Nike did not pull all existing merchandise from
the shelf. You could still go to the store and buy a Kobe Jersey or
Kobe tennis shoes. This is not the case with Mike his very
existence is being erased as if he never existed.

Fact 3. Now I love myself some Ray Lewis, however, Ray Lewis was on
trial for murder and I do not recall his merchandise being pulled
from the shelves, nor do I remember anyone protesting him the way
they are protesting Mike.

Fact 4. Mike has never been convicted of anything, however, because
he wore his hair in braids and dressed like those from the hip hop
culture, he's a thug and he's guilty? Forget about any good he's
done for the unfortunate (you did not hear anything about the money
raised for the families of the VA Tech students). All you hear
about is him flipping the birdie (I would have given the folks the
birdie back if they gave it to me and he is not the only one to have
done that in the NFL); trying to bring a water bottle though
security (who hasn't tried to bring a water bottle through
security. Most people forget they have them) go to the airport and
look at the bins around the xray machines. You will see hundreds of
bottles of water and other liquids.

And then the OJ thing keeps coming up. Black people did not get OJ
off the hook (whites were on the jury as well), the two white
detectives who tampered with the evidence got OJ off by creating the
reasonable doubt. So get mad with them

They are trying to erase the very existance of Mike and that is why
the various groups are stepping up now. If you are white you are
innocent until proven guilty. If you are black you are guilty until
proven innocent. I have problem with the fact that the feds got
involved in this in the first place. I am a fed and let me tell you
there are more pressing issues than this, so, I question the
constituional legalities as to whether they over stepped their
bounds stepping into an ongoing investigation already in progress
from state and locals entities. Remember Hurricane Katrina, when
people where asking why FEMA did not step in and take charge. FEMA
could not come in until the state and local gov't requested the
assistance and like their Governor said "let her sleep on it" and
people died while she slept.

Here are some other famous cases involving whites that I have not
seen anyone protesting.

Tom Sizemore, convicted for beating the hell out of Heidi Fleiss.
In and out of jail. Question: How is he getting in and out and
still making moves and where are the people with their signs????

Roman Polanski raped a 13 year old girl and fled the country so that
he would not face a conviction. There are no boycotts of his
movies. His movies are on the shelves and they open in our theaters
every time he makes one. No signs no protest. He raped a 13 year
old child.

Robert Blake killed his childs mother and is a free man. I have not
seen any protests about pulling everything that he has played in off
the shelves. No signs no protest, what you got was people calling
the victim a gold digger who got pregant to exploit money, but he is
a free man. HOW????

Not to mention Woood Allen, who molests Mia Farrow's young teen
daughter (she found nude pictures of the child in his house) and
then he marries her when she becomes of age as if this justifies his
actions. Studios are still backing him and his movies are still
opening in theaters and being played on cable as if nothing happend.

The actor from Prison Break who kills a teenage boy with his drunk
and driving. He does a public service announcement, gets a 60 day
assessment and is expected to get five years probabation.

Sean Penn has matured, but what about all his run in with the law
when he was younger. I guess he was salvagable

Robert Downey Jr so strung out on drugs for the majority of his
career until he broke into someone else house and got in bed
thinking it was his. He's gotten himself together now, but he was
allowed to film a movie while they had him in jail. Intersting huh!

Lets not even mention the revolving door for Paris, Brittany an
Lindsey. Let Ciara, Chris Brown or Riahanna get into situations
like these young folks and watch what will happens. They will be
vilified in front of Amercia.
