I'm Stephen.

I attended MSA 1997.

I was a member of Hoa's Warriors house. 3rd floor, Room 311.
(I was also an honorary member of the We're Still Working On It house)

Major: Puzzles and Logic with Karen Davis
Minor: Day the Sun Rose Twice with Ed Lewis aka Bombmaking 101

I loved every minute of MSA. Definitely changed my life forever. If it hadn't been for PSD, (Personal and Social Dynamics for those of you who have forgotten) I might not have ever realized my dream of playing music in a band.

I made some great friends and even fell in love for the first time at MSA. While not many of us still keep in touch, we're all in each other hearts.

So, that's what I got out of MSA....anyone else?

Hey all,

I'm Daniel, and I was also in MSA in '97. I was on the third floor and a member of Los Desconocidos (The Unknowns). My major was the Quetzecoatl connection, and my minor was future computing. Both were very interesting, and I met some neat people in each. I also became part of the choir, which was a lot of fun. I really only joined so I could flirt with this one girl, but that's another story. All in all it was a lot of fun, even though I still think they were just trying to get smart people to breed together.
Oh well.

Lol...I have to agree that they were just trying to get smart people to breed. I also think that they had to pick some of us to fill quotas, cuz I ain't that smart.

chalk another one up for the '97 alumni. We're dominating this group. I was a member of 'Yoda, Vlad, & the Draggle Tailed Commies'. Unfortunately, I currently can't remember the names of the classes I was in. I did keep all of my MSA information, it's just not with me. I was in some kind of math class, (maybe puzzles, but I don't think so), and a creative writing class. Damned if I can remember the names of em though. I can remember the names of people in my classes, but not the classes themselves....

I had totally forgotten about PSD. good stuff there. And tai-so. Man. that seems like so long ago.....I also remember the early morning runs and the games of risk that would last for days. Hah. First time I met a jewish person was at MSA, among many other types of people. It is insane how closed off and uniformly bland the small country schools in missouri are :) I went to a rural school system, all lower-upper middle class, christian white kids. I think we had 3 black students K-12. MSA was awesome, and did a lot for most all of us. I made a lot of friends there, but for whatever reason, they weren't lasting friends. There is no one that I still keep in touch with from the group I hung out with. Doesn't diminish our importance to each other though. There were about a dozen of us '97 alumns who wound up going to the same college (UMR) and we all knew each other, but it wasn't a close group.

Glad to be aboard. Hopefully more people will come across this group and join up. 17 is such a small number compared to the hundreds (thousands?) that were a part of MSA.

A second to the 06 scholar above me:

Fresh out of Twain this AM, room 405. The Charismatic Leaders of Today's Society!!!

Hey Lie, we had the same teachers; just switched major and minor...weird.

Major: Education Renovation (Joan Potthast)
Minor: The Che"mystery" Club (Nancy Fischer)
PSD: Steve Cole
RA: RJ Koscielniak

I did a lot of stuff with film (watching, screenwriting, etc) at MSA. Also, my house was the second-place scholar team in scholar bowl.

Boomba!

Boomba-hey, y'all

MSA '95...guess I'm the oldster here.

I was on Tina's floor...had a blast those few weeks.

Can't remember my major or minor. The major was something to do with math and the minor was something to do with current events. But I have great memories of running around with so many cool people. I still run into fellow MSA'ers....only a few weeks ago at a bar, as a matter of fact!

But the best thing wasn't the memories, it was how I was changed internally by those experiences. Even tho' the memories fade, those changes remain. Philosophy over...hope everyone in '06 had a great time.
