My husband and I spent two months WWOOFing in the Hawaiian Islands and it was an experience to remember. We had a wonderful experience on a farm on the North Shore of Kaua'i and a not so great time on a farm on the Big Island. None the less, I would highly recommend WWOOFing in Hawai'i. Just keep in mind that it can be easy to hitchhike but the food is SO EXPENSIVE. Try and find a farm that will feed you and your money will go much further.

Happy Travels!

I wwoofed on a farm on the Big Island as well. There were good and bad things about it. Overall, it was a great experience. I ate a lot of great food and drank the best coffee (for free!) and learned a lot. I am trying to wwoof again, hopefully on Molokai or Oahu even though there are less options on those islands. Anyone else wwoof in Hawaii?

hey all!

i’m headed to the Big Island in July and wanted to know what were the good places and the not-so-great places to check out. Speak your mind please! I already have a permaculture internship hooked up but it’s only for one month .... leaving 5 more months until my plane ride home. hmmmmm where to go?
