A state Human Life Amendment is now being pushed in 5 states (Mississippi, Georgia, Oregon, Montana, and Michigan) and Mississippi is leading the way with
People's Initiative 23.

With all of this activity and more and more states introducing one some expect Abortion to End (i.e. Roe v. Wade to be overturned) somewhere around 2015 if not
sooner. All it takes is one state to pass a State Human Life Amendment to their constitution and it's all over for Abortion in America.
Justice Harry Blackmun architect of the 1973 Roe v. Wade Decision wrote in the majority opinion:
"[If the] suggestion of personhood [for the unborn] is established, the [abortion rights] case, of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment."
Even attorney for Jane Roe, Sarah Weddington, admits she doesn't have a case if the unborn child is recognized as a 'person'. Weddington is arguing for Abortion Rights, here is what said before the U.S. Supreme Court case in Roe v. Wade.
Justice Potter Stewart asks her:
"if it were established that an unborn fetus is a person you would have almost an impossible case here, would you not?"
Sarah Weddington:
"I would have a very difficult case."
The only way to overturn Roe v. Wade is for a state Human Life Amendment to be passed by a state that legally recognizes in their constitution that an unborn child is a person.
The strategy to ban abortion outright will never work because the courts view an abortion as a medical procedure and banning it out right violates, in their current thinking, the fundamental right to make our own medical decisions. A state's right to over regulate can never outweigh a person's fundamental right in this strategy.
